Dune Series

These paintings depict the lines of the east coast; from the northern rivers region - South Ballina beach and Lighthouse beach, and from the south coast - Short Point beach near Merimbula. These pieces are a selection of plein air work (the watercolours with their vibrant cerulean blues) and studio work (the oils).
The contours of beaches, the arcs of dunes and the slice of water are overwhelmingly defining.
